Clinic Policies and Codes of practice

A full consultation and medical history are carried out accordingly for each new client to the clinic before any treatment is carried out and is verbally updated and recorded at each subsequent treatment to the clinic thereafter.

Patch Tests

A patch test is carried out for every new client for the following treatments in accordance with training and manufacturers instruction:

  • Eyelash tinting
  • Eyebrow tinting
  • Semi Permanent Cosmetics

Medical history is checked at every appointment and if any changes/updates a new patch test will be carried out before treatment commences, when there is a change in product manufacturer and a period of more than 12 months between treatment.

I will not perform any treatment following any allergic reaction to a skin test.

Aftercare Advice

Verbal aftercare advice instructions are given after every treatment service. This is recorded on the clients record card. Written aftercare advice is also given after clients first waxing treatment at the clinic  and after every Semi permanent cosmetic procedure and again recorded on clients record that this has been given.

Age Restrictions
  • Treatments will not be carried out in the Clinic on anyone under the age of 14 and will not perform any advance treatment (semi-permanent cosmetics) on anyone under the age of 18.
  • Written consent will be required from the parent or guardian of any person under the age of 16 prior to performing any nail treatments. Nail treatments will not be performed on any persons under the age of 14.
  • At the Clinic, the need for strict confidentiality of personal information about clients is taken very seriously. Below is my code of practice for this:
The relationship between myself and client is based on the understanding that any information revealed by the client to me will not be divulged without the client’s consent.
  • Clients have the right to privacy, and it is vital that they give the full information on their state of health to ensure treatment is carried out safely. The intensely personal nature of health information means that many clients would be reluctant to provide me with this information if they were not sure that it would be passed on.
